Dear Members & Friends of the Chamber
With the federal election called for 28 April, Canadians get to exercise their right to vote for the next national government and their future.
As the Canadian Chamber of Commerce has said 'as the parties hit the campaign trail, they must remember what's at stake: the livelihoods of Canadians depend on how we navigate this crisis with the US, how we address our economic challenges, and how we support Canadian business.' Whoever wins, 'Canada needs a united strategy to reduce its dependence on US trade and build a resilient, future-ready economy where all Canadians can thrive and be optimistic about the future.'
Canada and the UK enjoy a long, robust commercial relationship and the Canada-UK Chamber of Commerce is ready to assist with bilateral trade and investment opportunities - we look forward to working with whoever wins the election at this critical and pivotal moment. Canadian citizens who live abroad may apply to be on the International Register of Electors, allowing them to vote by mail-in special ballot in federal general elections, by-elections and referendums: Registration and Voting Processes for Canadians Who Live Abroad.
This eNewsletter we focus on Education News with a number of articles from a number of Canadian Universities and Business Schools. Next week many of their alumni in the UK will be at Canada House in London enjoying the 8th alumni evening with us. Register here to join them: 3 April the 8th Canadian University Alumni Event at Canada House.
Happy Networking and in the words of Michelle Obama: "Success isn't how much money you make. It's about the difference you make in people's lives."
