Dear Members & Friends of the Chamber
Canada’s Prime Minister Mark Carney recently concluded his UK visit to London having met key international leaders and global investors as he seeks to strengthen Canada’s economic and diplomatic relationships. His meeting with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer concluded with strengthening joint cooperation to drive growth for people in both the UK and Canada via the ratification of the Comprehensive and Progressive Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP). The Prime Minister also met private capital and investment representatives, promoting Canada as a stable destination for global investors. His trip ended by attending the Women’s Rugby World Cup final, celebrating Team Canada’s silver medal performance -many of the players having met our members at our Chamber networking event earlier this summer.
Earlier this summer both Prime Ministers issued a Joint statement announcing further collaboration on trade, science, technology and innovation.
