Media Release - UK applies to join huge Pacific free trade area CPTPP

As the focus of our Chamber and its members is international trade and business development, we are supportive of the UK government’s decision to lodge a notice to begin the process to join CPTPP, in which Canada already plays a leading role.

‘We look forward to seeing progress both with this initiative and bilateral discussions between Canada and the UK to extend our own trade relationship, following the signing of the Trade Continuity Agreement between our two countries in late in 2020.'
