Andrew Champ

Andrew is responsible for establishing the vision & strategy for the region and business segment, anticipate and shape investment decisions based on market opportunities, market trend, risks, competitive landscape, and form strategic partnerships. 

Prior to joining GE Andrew has a 30yr career in developing, consenting, financing and contracting major power projects internationally. Andrew has worked up and down the supply chain including senior roles at; Commercial Director at ENEC seeing the successful delivery of 4 x APR1400 units at Barakah in the UAE, Executive Commercial Director at Nuclear Waste Services where he ran the commercial function and developed the commercial strategy for the Geological Disposal Facility, Balfour Beatty as Energy Director leading the business into the Hinkley Point C nuclear power plant project and off-shore wind OFTO’s. Andrew was also instrumental in devising the Regulated Asset Base financing model during a tenure at DESNZ along with assessing different contracting strategies and writing the initial white paper the led to the formation of GBN.
