Aparajithan Sivanathan
Head of Digital Technology, AMRCSivanathan is the Head of Digital Technologies at the AMRC and leads advanced industrial connectivity research. He holds an MSc in Mechatronics Engineering from King’s College London and a PhD from Heriot-Watt University. He has secured prestigious research grants from DSIT, DCMS, HVMC, Innovate UK, and EPSRC, and has conducted commercial R&D for major industrial players such as BAE Systems Air, BAE Systems Weapons & Munitions, Spirit AeroSystems, Boeing, AWE, and several SMEs.
In 2023, Sivanathan was appointed Chair of the UK Telecoms Innovation Network (UKTIN) Manufacturing Working Group.
His research interests include advanced connectivity solutions for manufacturing, 5G/6G, ultra-low latency closed-loop control, real-time systems, manufacturing informatics, cybersecurity, knowledge capture, supply chain network analytics, and Industry 4.0.
